Sewing with Class is a unique quilt shop that houses an in-store longarm machine quilting studio. This quilting service features the experience and skill of Melinda Musgrave, who has been perfecting her style and vision of longarm stitching since 1993 and is now the proud owner of Sewing with Class. Her work combines the art of original hand-guided stitching with the speed and precision of computer stitched designs. 

Experience

Melinda has machine quilted thousands of quilt tops, all of various quality and uses, from "troubled" quilt tops that need a helping hand, to heirloom and show quality tops that demand perfection.

The in-store longarm studio includes the use of 2 quilting machines, and will accommodate clients that have "emergency" quilting deadlines with quick, all-over design options.

Guidelines for the best quilting results

• Borders on the tip will lay flat and the entire top will measure to be "square".
• The top will be well-pressed and folded neatly.
• Back and batting layer will measure at least 3" larger than the top on all four sides.
• Backing will measure to be "square" and will not have uneven edges, at the straight grain of the fabric will lay parallel to the length of the top.
• Preshrinking and pressing is recommended.
• The 3 layers of the quilt do not need to be basted.
• The quilt top should be free from hanging thread ends and breaks in seams.
• Embellishments will be added after quilting.

Prices do not include G.S.T, thread or finishing and are subject to change without notice. Prices will vary according to time spent on each quilt. Tops will be quilted in the condition they are received.
