Beginner Quilting – Esther (1) |

This is the perfect class for those who have never quilted before, and for those who would like pointers to improve their skills and become more confident quilters. Learn the basics of quilting as you construct a small quilt suitable for a table topper, a baby quilt or a wall hanging. Starting with fabric selection (in the store) during the first class, you will learn about color and design. Following classes will cover step by step instructions on rotary cutting, piecing, quilt construction, borders, sandwiching, machine quilting and finally binding. I am an enthusiastic quilter and would enjoy sharing my love of quilting with you! Enjoy 24 hours classroom time. Pattern is provided. **Homework is required**

Calling all kids 7 – 12 years old who want to learn how to sew! After school program provides sewing machines, tools, and instruction to sew simple clothes. As kids progress throughout the year, more difficult projects will be introduced, including some quilting projects. Pattern booklet is required. Skill Level: 1 Fee: $40.00 / month. This fabric collage class will have you exploring the imaginative use of colour, using scraps from your own (or others’) scrap piles, to create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind picture that will delight you. In these introductory lessons we will explore basic geometric design, using an Australian Aboriginal pattern for our focus. Some prep work required before class. Book required.
